So about 4-6 weeks ago my tablet started to have a sound issue. Essentially any interaction on the screen like key presses on the virtual keyboard or the play button on a media player--seriously anything--causes a sort of feedback crackle/squeal.
It typically occurs with just the first press, and then either occurs at random as typing continues, or sort of "resets" if nothing is pressed for a short period. While it usually only sounds off for a second or two, it can progress into a 10-15 second long squeal. Restarting the tablet after the issue has begun restores things to normal until the problem randomly crops up again.
As I've mentioned, the sound occurs either through the tablet speaker or through headphones. Having sound disabled for keypress does nothing. I have already done a factory reset. The tablet has not been dropped, exposed to water, or otherwise potentially damaged. The only thing that has changed is perhaps an update to the Android version?
I'm at my wit's end with the problem. My warranty was up in February, and as a disabled person I both rely heavily on my tablet and can't afford to replace it or pay for expensive repairs. If anyone has any ideas or has even heard of such a thing, I'd love to hear about it...
