sound notification cut short

So I have noticed a few times on my X that when I receive a text message my sound clip is cut short, it is not at the same point either, sometimes it will play 1/2 the clip other times just the beginning of it. It is like I am hitting a silence button. Anyone know what this is from or seen this before?

i have noticed similar issues.

when mine rings, after i answer, it will continue to ring(slowly fades out) for a few seconds and switch from the speaker to the ear piece.

Yeah I noticed this too. Its very odd and it happens a lot, at different points.

Even when I shut off my phone, it plays my DROOOID notification sound but it gets cut off early 9 out of 10 times.
