Following an online tutorial I'm trying to add a downloaded song to my ringtones on my Galaxy S7 with no luck. The tutorials tell me to select Sound Picker but my phone doesn't give me this option ??? Any help appreciated.

What does it open when you try select a sound, you will have to go in and clear the defaults for that app. The easy alternative would be to install ringdroid, that's super easy to use and let's you select and customise your own sounds.

I'm having the same problem. I've also tried using other ringtone makers. But none can access my music files. I lost all my personal ringtones after the last system software update a few weeks ago. VERY FRUSTRATING!

All my personal ringtones disappeared wirh the last system update, too. I'd have no problem buying the ringtones, but they're either not available (a Dutch pop song) or the ringtone version is not the same as the song (Katy Perry's Firework). I really liked that the Sound Picker gave me the option to start the ringtone at the beginning of the song or at the song's highlight, and that the ringtone could last the entire song. I have Galaxy 7s Edge, Verizon as the provider.

Sound Picker is no longer a menu item. When I try to add a ringtone from my device storage (the only option), I get a snarky message that says Verizon Cloud doesn't support creating ringtones from copyrighted material. I have Galaxy 7s Edge, Verizon as the provider.

Have you tried ringdroid. I've used that in the past to set custom ringtones on my S7.
