Soundcloud Question

I have T-mobile so it doesn't affect me, but before they added sound cloud to there Data free list. I noticed that Sound cloud uses a HUGE amount of data compared to other services. Does anyone know why? I'v used almost 200MB in 3 hours of listening according to my phones data usage lol. Just wondering if anyone realized this.

Soundcloud uploads are usually in a higher bitrate. Soundcloud doesn't really care about trying to save data --- Whereas the others don't stream in the best quality to preserve data.

On their website it says 128kbps, weird.

I thought about that, but I was thinking all apps should use around 320kbps max. Good to know,higher the better SoundCloud quickly became one of my favorite.
