Sounds - Software Notifications?

My AT&T Galaxy Note3 constantly makes a sound every time a software program or application runs or updates. This happens even during data is autopushed to the phone. I can't seem to shut off the noise without completely disabling the sound function totally. How do I turn off the "background" sound - for lack of better terminology?

Go to settings and in the search bar at top type"Sound" and tien of various sounds until you get what you want.
