This phone is ridiculously stupid slippery. I handed it to my wife, she dropped it and the screen cracked.

Went to 2 repair places and they said they don't have screens yet for the U11.

Anyone know of a source for screens?I

P. S. I finally found the support email entry on the HTC website and asked if they could repair it, I'll update if I get a reply.

UPDATE: (July 11, 2017) I finally got HTC to contact me back, we did a chat. They said it would cost "between $200 and $300" to replce the screen. I said forget it, we'll live with the crack.

Folks, we are absolute fools buying an all-glass smartphone. Never again, I'm going back to paying $300.00 max for a phone, the cheaper phones are too good nowadays and better than flagships of just a few years ago.

It may be a month or two or even three before screens are available on the 3rd party repair scene.
I checked my 2 vendors and they dont carry the U11 screens either.
This may be a situation where it has to go back to HTC.

Please keep us updated on your situation, OP! I have heard that the HTC U11's body is quite slippery. :(

Now that you're single again have you tried Match.com?? 😂

Here's an update, HTC wanted us to use their chat service, but it wasn't working. So we emailed them. They finally got back to us and wanted our phone number, they said they'd call within 48 hours. Of course, nothing happened. So, we'll start the process again of trying to contact someone. I'm not looking for a warranty because I know the broken screen is our fault; I just want to pay and get it fixed. Anyway, I'll keep you posted...

Ouch. That's a sore one. Get a good case when you get it replaced or fixed. I have the Galaxy s8 and it's like a wet bar of soap that just wants to jump out your hand much like you described the U11. These phones look great but being all glass are an expensive accident waiting to happen. I'd rather cover up some of those looks with a case than have a heart stoppage everytime it slipped out my hand

What screen protector and are you happy with it? Most reviews say the protectors don't fit correctly.

I bought the supersheildz 2 pack from Amazon and it fits great. With my liquid crystal Spigen case it is a perfect combo

A fulling spice shaker broke my screen. HTC wants 20 days with my phone to fix it. No local resource can get the parts :'( So not happy. Not sure what they expect their customers to do without a phone for 20 days. I even offered to pay for a replacement phone and pay for the repair upfront and then they can keep the old phone after the repair and they said they do not have this as a options. Outside of paying for the screen replacement, this is how the uh oh protection used to work, minus paying for the screen replacement. I probably wont be buy another HTC phone since you can't get convenient support. This is a shame too since I have been using HTC phones since the Windows Mobile HTC Tornado from 2006.

Sadly they have had my M10 for over a month now due to lack of supply of replacement screens.
So the M10 and 11 screens are on long back order. not a good sign HTC. I was looking forward to getting an 11 but not im having second thoughts.

This phone is made of space grade Teflon or something. It was in my back pocket and I was jump roping with my daughters. It went flying out sailed over my head and landed on the driveway. Shattered. $180 repair per HTC. I'd only had it 73 days at that point. Of course they eliminated uh oh protection for this phone. It's a nightmare. My 8th, and final, HTC phone.
