Speaker Dock

I got the speaker dock yesterday and cant seem to get it to work correctly... Im wondering if it is user error vs a defective unit.

I cant get the volume to work on the speaker attached to the dock. Is there a setting that I need to adjust for it to work appropriately?

One wierd thing is that it wouldnt play music, but when I switched the tv to the hdmi that it was attached to, then the speaker worked for about 1 second.

I have this also, I'm not sure if the dock will play music through the speakers while the HDMI is connected b/c it may take the output and send it along the HDMI.

Also, make sure it's properly seated on the dock, I know mine "feels" like it's in but it's not really..
