My galaxy nexus speaker had gone very l low and soft after the 4.2 update...
Hardly hear the ringer or music on speaker......
Volume ? or speaker boost doesn't work on 4.2
Anyone facing similar issues?
Any solution.... ??????

This has always been the case with this phone and Volume+ has not worked since Ice Cream Sandwich. Volume+ has not been updated since July and it seems the dev just doesn't give a crap any more.

OK I think I found a temporary solution.... Speaker boost works well ... if u already have it installed... Delete it n install again... Reboot n shall work again on 4.2

Worked for me.... Try it!!!

The 2 apps I used on 4.1 and 4.1.2 that worked so well are Gnex Beats+Louder and MegaBassBeats. But they have not been updated for 4.2 yet. But they should soon be.

Ok I found out a strange thing....web I keep the equalizer in the play music app off....the audio is somewhat audible....if the equalizer is on....can't hear a thing

I just updated to 4.2 and my Samsung Nexus and before, I had great volume in my headphones. All of a sudden, I now have to turn every single song all the way up, what the **** happened? This isn't cool, they need to correct this issue.

I talked to one of the developers awhile back and was told Google changed a code in their software making booster software obsolete in JB. Maybe they will change the code again in 5.0
