speakerphone issues

I am having problems with my GS9+ with Android 9 Pie where when using the speakerphone it sometimes randomly switches to the regular speaker even though it shows it's on the speakerphone. I have to turn off speakerphone and turn it back on and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes I'll be talking and all a sudden my mom or whomever I'm talking too can't hear me anymore. I can hear them. I'm at home and have HD calling and wifi calling. On Verizon. I use speakerphone most the time.

That sounds like an intermittently-defective phone. See if Verizon will replace it.

Dang. I hope I won't have to replace it and copy everything to a new phone. I was hoping it was just a software bug that would get fixed. Not only that but then I'll have to buy another screen protector.

Have not really heard of that happening but yeah, sounds like a hardware problem.
