Speakerphone volume

Has anyone else had this issue and the thread title suggests everything?

It seems as though the speakerphone is the same volume as the handset volume but only coming from a different speaker and even if I am on speakerphone calls and turn the volume up all the way it still doesn't help. Right now the speakerphone is useless to me. I knew there was a problem with the Tango app being way too low but it seems they fixed it in their release that came out today. Does anyone know a way to fix this or do we have to wait for an update as I do not know and I'm fairly new to the Android life.

Please help!

The speaker in my phone is a lot different in volume than the regular handset volume. If you are in reference to video chat applications, it has a major part to do with signal strength coming from both sides of the conversation. I, myself, do not use Tango, however with Qik, I have had a really hard time hearing the other person even when they were yelling, and then other times it has been better than great (this is when I am assured they were connected to a good internet connection via wifi or just good signal reception)

No...I know about the video calling thing...my problem with the speakerphone has to do with regular calls as well and the volume is almost no different from the regular handset speaker, its just the sound is coming from the speakerphone speaker and I cannot turn the volume up any higher.

The speaker volume is quite weak to be assured but I think you should be able to get a bit more volume from it if you tweak your settings just right.

When I listen to "iheartradio" and mp3s I have to use a powered speaker that connects to my headphone jack otherwise it is not loud enough unless I am very close and the room is very quiet

By the way the TANGO app is a whole different situation. The volume problems you may experience probably come from the application itself and not the phone.
