Speakers have suddenly stopped working

So at one minute my speakers were working perfectly fine when suddenly they just stopped playing any sound but if i were to just plug in my headphones the sound comes out perfectly why is this and how can i fix this problem ?

Did you install any non-market apps? Sometimes that could cause a problem. Try to install QuickMute from the appstore.

Foramex i installed the quickmute app but it didnt change anything any other suggestions?
