Spec confusion = SDXC and RAM

OK, so I'm looking at buying a galaxy note 10.1 16GB (UK) wifi only at the weekend, but I'm a bit confused by the specs. The UK site shows 1GB ram, yet all the reviews say 2 gig. Is that an international thing? Also, SDXC cards, will it read a 64 GB one? Was looking at the storage possibilities as, being in the UK, I cant get a 32 gig model. Hoping for a quick reply

I believe that the Tab 10.1 has 1 GB of RAM but the Note 10.1 has 2 GB of RAM with up 32 GB additional storage. 64 GB of storage requires the sdxc card to be formatted as FAT32 and not exFAT.

That's what I'd assume...were it not for Samsung's official site being the source of the 1gb number Galaxy Note 10.1 3G & WiFi - SAMSUNG . That suggests the tab has only 1 gig sdram. Am I missing something as I saw a different Samsung minisite with 2 gig ram and supporting 64 gig cards. Thanks for help re: 64 gig cards.

EDIT: to add to the confusion, the Wikipedia article says 2 gig and links to the page saying 1 gig. Has this changed? Do I need to get an earlier release to get double the ram?

Maybe it's because it has 2 gig, but after the memory that's taken up by the system, there's only around 1 gig left for you to actually use... ?

And, yes, as has been said, 64 gig cards work. If you have the version of the OS that was released in late August and then pulled, it will recognize and work with a 64 gig card, no problem. Even exFAT, I believe. If you have the older firmware, then you will probably have to use another device to format a 64gig card as FAT32, then the Note 10.1 will work with it. If you want the later firmware that natively supports 64 gig cards, I believe you can download it from XDA-Developers.com and install it yourself.

I got my Tab this week and checked to Task Manager it it shows 1.7 gigs of ram Total. 1.1 was being used. When i cleared it, it dropped to 500 mbs being used. So far the tab has been great and standby time has been good. Used it in total for maybe 10 hours since tuesday and today i put it on the charger with 10% battery life left. I love this tab.

Ah great, so it seems that the 1 gig number is some form of misquote. Id assume that it was purely based on that, but you cant be too sure. Thanks for the reply, and glad that people using it are enjoying it
