New source code has been posted to opensource.samsung.com today for the Epic 4G Touch on Sprint. This is build FI27, and every time source code has been published, it was released as an official software update. So it looks like we'll be seeing another OTA update relatively soon.

Stay tuned for an official announcement from Sprint!

I hope you're right JayWill. I'd like to know that my dialer isn't suspect to being hacked. I really wish they would just push us JB though. I want the buttery smoothness! :D

yup, FI27 got pushed out to me just now. I haven't updated yet since my battery is almost dead.

And it's official ...

I tried Kies but it said FH13 was the latest. I will try back in a day or so and see if Kies lets me upgrade.

Thanks for the info, I didn't get a chance to try Kies out last night, maybe this weekend.

I still have not received the update. Anyone found a way to get other than the OTA?

Took care of the problems I have been having with ics. Nice update!

Got the OTA a few minutes ago....updating now....hoping it will go well.....don't have time to do a reset after the update....will mess with it this evening....sighs.....

I'm still waiting for it here in Western Washington as well. Does anyone who has it notice any improvement in the radio? I'm hoping it's better, but expecting more of the same.

I just saw this posted on Sprint's Community Forum:

Sprint Community: 10/10 - Samsung Epic 4G Touch Software Update - S:D710.10S.FI27

The Samsung Galaxy S II (Epic 4G Touch) update started Wed 10/10 and ourcustomers will receive the software update to FI27 sometime between Wednesday 10/10/12 and Saturday 11/10/12#. Customers will not be able to initiate a download on your own and will need to wait till the phone receives the Software Update from Samsung.

Performing a manual check through settings before your phone has received the update notification will receive a message similar to the one below.

So, after 11/0/12, everyone "should" get the update....

I would be interested in the affect on the radio as well.

I got the OTA this morning here in CO. Stock build. What's actually functionally changed? I haven't noticed anything really. Or is this mostly just a bugfix kind of thing?
