Is the outer shell glossy or matte on the Electric Blue? The Note 3 had a matte on the Silver but glossy and more grippy on the Red. I ask because the Slim Armor is very slippery and I stopped using it.

It's matte and in my opinion, slippery.

Passing on that one then. No point in a case if it makes the phone more prone to drops.

I agree with you. It looks nice and is low profile but can be slippery. I may try the Ballistic Urbanite next.

I have the Blue one. It has the dimples like the back of the S5, but I never thought it was slippery to the point where I could drop the phone.
