My Note9 crashed & rebooted this morning just as I initiated a Skype video call.

Auto Restart was not enabled (and even if it had been, it should not have caused a reboot while the screen was on and the phone was in use; plus, I have Secure Startup enabled, which prevents Auto Restart from happening at all).

This occurrence has been the only one since I got the phone almost two weeks ago, so I'm not alarmed yet.

Mime has rebooted maybe three times all ready all at Random times not sure why

Anything showing up in Device Maintenance, the text icon in upper right?

What if any restore did you use?

I had to wipe cache partition after setup, wasn't even restored. Battery use settled down and very light now.

No, Device Maintenance is happy. I set up the phone via SmartSwitch. I'm going to ignore the crash unless it happens again.

Wiping cache partition might be easy and a first step troubleshooting and takes minutes.

I've been having the same issue for the last two days. I did safe mode, cleaned cache and reset settings. Nothing seemed to work so I hard reset the phone. While in the middle of set-up it did it again. After set-up, it's been running for 30 minutes with no restart. I'm going to keep it in this state for a while to see if the problem has been resolved. If not, it may be a hardware issue :(

Update: After a full system reformat - all my apps were downloaded, but not started. I'm now going through and starting each app. The reboots seem to happen anytime I use a biometric feature.

Had this happen to me for the first time today while I was trying to use Samsung Pay at Chic Fil A (Yeah great timing Sammy...). Meh...isolated incident so far so no harm no foul as long as it doesn't happen more.

It may help to know what telco you're all on 🤔

Just trying to understand the problem from different factors...

I don't think it's a hardware issue is too many people having the same problem I think there's something in the UI causing to become unstable Samsung should release an update
