Sprint 2.1 leak

Is the issue with the market that when you search for certain apps, they arent there?..I was searching for the internal memory widget that someone on here asked about and I cant find it.

Any help would be appreciated

Yeah, thats what the market fix is for. That was my recommendation :). Just flash it like you did the ROM without wiping anything first.
Place it in sd card
boot in recovery
flash
reboot phone

Apps may not show immediately if you didn't flash right after the ROM. I don't know why there is a delay sometimes of a few hours (maybe even a day) but slowly, protected apps appear. If you did it right after flashing the ROM without rebooting, those apps appear instantly.

Another app that won't show up is MLB at Bat 2010. Thats how I know it takes hours. It doesn't have to be a paid app to be protected, and thats probably why internal memory widget doesn't show.

So, is the FB sync bug probably present in all 2.1 ROMs on the scene? That would certainly explain why my phone was running so slowly!

As far as I can tell.
I've tried gbhil's one from this thread, Fresh, DC and RegaW
All of them do not sync properly.

I'm having a new issue where the default weather/clock combo disappears. It was on my device working fine then the device reset itself and now it's missing? Anyone have this happen or have a fix for this? I like that stock clock/weather widget.

you can either do this http://forum.androidcentral.com/71100-post2.html
or goto Manage Apps and clear HTC Sense data. youll lose any widgets that you setup. i prefer the 2nd option.

I cant wait until we get (hoping) a Gumbo 1.5c Bare equivalent with 2.1. Just thinking about it makes my phone smile.

I'm testing it now to see exactly what we can strip out and if I can get the Google calendar working with the HTC framework. Once I get something semi stable, I'll throw up a trster/dev style ROM for us all to debug.

Did anyone that flashed the leak get a gmail from Android team thanking them for purchasing the nexus one?? Or telling them about the features of the nexus one?

There has been a lot of discussion here as to how fast this is but "fast" is one of those relative terms. Have any of you moved to this from fresh1.1/gumbo/setcpu? How does it compare? Any opinions?

Id say make nadroid backup an give it a try. It's fast enough for me.

hello,

Ladies And Gents.I was wondering about the HTC Hero accessibility feature in settings and why it wasn't activated and what it do,I later found out it was for the visual impaired.Because i have the samsung moment rom there were 3 files used for the moment which is not in our sprint rom so i pushed them. This is a neat feature it has the talkback, soundback and the kickback services.Mainly what it will do isany time to hit a button on your devices it will talk back to you or tell you what you're doing.

I thought to share this with you guys.Attached is the signed zip enjoy....

So I had option 2 on for about for days before reflashing with option 3, which also worked perfectly, then last night I decided to wipe and reflash option 3 so that I could get rid of a them I had on it, and now my facebook sync isn't working properly. It wont load all of my friends and won't sync the pictures with my standard contacts. Anyone have any idea whats up?

Hi, I am new to rooting and installing leaked roms. I have read through more than pages of this site and have not found anything regarding my question.

Does anyone have this same leaked rom without all the bloatware? I noticed when I was running 1.5 I had 102 mb free for phone storage and that was with about 10 apps installed. Now I have less than 95 mb without any extra apps installed. I was thinking I could get close to what I had before if I got rid of all the stuff I have no interest in like nascar.

I have had a few other minor issues, but I can't remember them all (I was reisisting bugging people on here because I don't like to have to make people use their time for me). I finally broke down when I realized I had only 60 megs of space with my apps installed.

If I didn't go for option 3, where do I install the app to use my sd card for applications?

I did also find that this seems to be a rom for the Nexus One. After I installed it and entered my gmail address, I got an email from Android telling me I had a Nexus One.

Hey there.

First things first - bug me anytime :D It may take a while sometimes, but I'll get back to you eventually lol

RE - the bloatware -

Have a read, and ask away if you have any questions.

RE - apps on the SD card -
You'll have to use option #3 for this. The Option #2 ROM was just a more friendly copy of the leaked ROM, and nothing extra was added except a proper root. In a nutshell -

Copy EVERYTHING on your SD card to a folder on your computer.
Verify that it copied ;)
Reboot into recovery, and make a Nandroid backup.
Verify the backup ;)

In the recovery menu, enable mass storage mode.
Copy the Nandroid folder from your SD card (it has your new backup) over to the PC.
Disable mass storage mode.
In the recovery menu, open the options to format your SD card.
Select 0 (zero) for the size of the swap partition
Select the size of your applications partition (ext). I recommend 768 MB
The rest will be formatted as a normal partition visible when you mount your phone to the computer.

When it's finished, enable mass storage mode again.
Copy back all the data from the first step to your SD card.
Copy the Nandroid folder back to your SD card.
Copy the option #3 ROM over to your SD card.
Copy any of the add-ons you want to your SD card.

Back in the recovery menu, in the data wipe section -
wipe EVERYTHING. Ignore errors about wiping dalvik via adb, it's a bug in some older versions of the recovery image. They get wiped, but the wrong message gets displayed.

Next flash the option #3 ROM.
Then flash any add-ons you would like, and reboot.
It takes a l-o-n-g time. When it boots back up, your apps will now be stored on the SD card.

Of course, any questions, just holler.

Hey everyone i'm putting together option 4 which will have the Su/market fix already in it without all the sprint stuff. Will be up soon.

Will all the apps be on the SD card i.e. the ones that are original to the phone like messages and the ones I choose to put on it?

Also will option 3 take up a lot more phone memory? The reason I didn't choose it was because all I wanted was the app2sd and not the gumbo app. I don't know what gumbo is or how to use it so I didn't want to take up phone memory for an app I know nothing about.

Also I can't install the ADB driver now that I switched from 1.5 to 2.1. For some reason my computer keeps saying that it can't find the driver. So now I can't remove the bloatware.

Option 3 wouldn't take up more room.Gumbo isn't a app it's a custom memory management.(makes phone better):D. Also i put together a slimmed down version here. http://forum.androidcentral.com/htc-hero-roms-hacks/9895-2-1-lite-option-4-a.html
