Sprint 4G a joke?

I think Valeuche said it best. This is becoming a huge problem, and most consumers don't understand and don't care. More and more people sign up for cellular service every day, and there is only so much bandwidth to go around. As people move into wireless broadband, services will continue to get slower until the providers can increase the physical size of their network. It sucks, yes, but how fast do you really need things to be? I can watch streaming video on my phone (EVO) on 3G, with some occasional stuttering, but no more than I would expect when "watching streaming video on my phone."

By the way, I have a laptop from Sprint with a 3G/4G broadband card installed. I live in an area that is a small "metro" area (less than 250,000 people). We do not have "official" Sprint 4G, but Clear does have one tower up and running on 4G. I consistantly get 6-8 mbps down.

Just saying that with a new technology, everyone's experience is going to be different, just like 10 years ago with cell phones.
