Sprint and free tethering

Oh they care whether or not you tether or not. I got the infamous letter about 5 days ago. I've been tethering for a year now and have used the same amount of data I always use. What gets me is that it's data. Data is data. If I pay them to tether, it still the same damn data. Not like they have a special frequency for tethered devices.

So don't tell me I have unlimited data and then say oh it's limited to the device you use, then you have to pay and there is a cap on that. That's complete BS.

Carriers, for years, have always gotten away with charging you way too much money for stuff, and when Big Gov steps in and tries to limit what they can do, they find a way around it. How come they can find a way around the govs policies, but I can't find a way around theirs?

I get where you're coming from but honestly in those terms of agreement it says unlimited to your device.. Not a device connected to your device... And you agreed to that.

Sprint used to offer unlimited mobile card plans back before 4G was available. I've been with Sprint for around 15 years and I do actually have a mobile card plan with no cap but it's 3G only. I'm currently "grandfathered" in because I never let the plan lapse even though I've been out of contract for quite sometime.
Thanks again.

I know you're looking to find a tethering solution for your phone, but if that doesn't work out for you, I believe there is still an unlimited plan available for hotspots (including LTE capable hotspots). It's $50/month, and you have to be on the Credit Union member discount program to have access to it.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask but is it still possible to hack an android and get internet sharing working? I might have to get an android phone for a side job I'm trying to get and the app needed isn't on windows phone. I could add a line and kill two birds with one stone if it's still possible.

It's still possible. Nexus 6 is the easiest to root and unlock stock tethering

I just got Sprint with an Apple 6s Plus. Could you explain to me how to tether my iPad?
Would be much appreciated.
