Sprint: Available April 27 for $249

Sprint website says they will give me $75 for my Galaxy S2...but mine has two tiny dings on it. Would they still give me $75 if it isnt in perfect condition?

Will Best Buy pricematch Sprint's price if I buy the phone outright without a contract? It's listed as $749 on Best Buy compared to $599 at Sprint...

Asking because I've got the Buy Back on my current phone and they will give a gift card when they buy it back...

I called Best Buy with the same question & they said no. So I bought mine from Sprint instead.

Yes. Pre order stock is sold out. The site says to check back 4/27. Probably when stock will renew.

Glad I got my order in. I should have a shiny new black mist GS4 arriving on my porch next Saturday. :)

I may just call Sprint and see if they will match their new customer price of $149. I've been a Sprint customer for well over 10 years, have 3 lines with a monthly bill of over $200. Maybe I'll get a little leeway from them. If not, I may just cancel my lines and move to another carrier. The lack of coverage and slow 3g and no 4g has been starting to get to me for the past few months so maybe this will just light a fire under my a$$ to finally do something about it. I'll be able to sell the two other iphone 5's on my account to more than offset the cancellation fees.

Wouldn't hold my breath for the last month I worked for a company who took calls for sprint. Sprint is such a crappy company they wouldn't do crap for their loyal customers. I would switch dude Sprint's service is so bad!!

Sent from the collector home world.

Sell it to best buy for $120 for good condition

Just made my reservation at Best Buy, but I'm not holding my breath:

I asked them if I can pre-order and buy off-contract, and they said sure. I asked them if they would price match the off-contract pricing of a Sprint store, and they said sure. Depending on who I talk to when I pick up my phone, I'm hoping both of these things will be honored.

If it does end up working out, that would be $599 - $280 for the buy back of my EVO 4G LTE. $319 off-contract isn't too bad!!

::crossing my fingers::

I went to a Sprint store and just pre-ordered mine today...they said they should be getting enough inventory to cover the first round of orders...we'll see if I get a call on Saturday.

Bestbuy is giving you $280 for your EVO 4G LTE?!?!?!? I asked Sprint how much they would give me back for my S3 and they told me $115!!!! WTF!!! Good for you though if they honor that! I will try my luck with BB as well.

When I got my EVO, I purchased Best Buy's Buy Back program, which guarantees you 50% of the phones retail value ($699) if you trade in within the first 6 months, 40% within months 6-12, etc. It only cost me $30 and I figured it was a good idea considering how often I upgrade phones. Unfortunately Best Buy no longer offers the program.

Ahh ok.

I just talked to a Spring chat guy. I can upgrade 2 months before my scheduled upgrade date IF i pay them $50 and then I can only buy the phone in a Sprint store.

Cant justify paying an extra $50 on top of the $50 extra Sprint is charging for whatever reason. Looks like i'll be waiting until July 1. Hopefully someone has it on sale by then.

That's interesting because my upgrade date was June 27th and I called today and they changed it so I could upgrade. I also just received an email about the change. I called in also to verify and the upgrade date to be fully eligible is April1.

I wonder if they'll do that with my upgrade date of August 1st. :( I'm like a 13 year subscriber so who knows... maybe I should call. Worst they can do is say no I guess.

It's called the "Upgrade Now" program. They're still offering people to buy out their contract in order to upgrade early. The price depends on how much of your contract is left, and they make you do the upgrade at a corporate Sprint store or through telesales (so Sprint gets all of the profit).

i always stuck up for sprint but coverage in my area has gone from bad to worse to straight awful. every time i called they told me that they were updating the towers in my area. i got this excuse for over 6 months. i kept missing calls, texts wouldn't go through, and i never could use the internet unless i was at home using my wifi. i had to leave and i'm with verizon now as of yesterday. i'm hoping that the S4 will be released before my 14 days are up so i can get it. but yesterday when i was downloading my apps, i was able to download them without issue on verizon's network...something i couldn't do with sprint unless i was in my house connected to my wifi. its true that they are the only carrier with true unlimited data but what good was it when i couldn't use it? if sprint could have gotten their tower act together i'd still be with them. i really did like sprint. i always had great customer service and they were always helpful but with missed calls i was afraid that my son's school would call and they couldn't get ahold of me. i spoke to a verizon rep and he said that the S4 would be available for pre-order the end of this month. not saying its true as reps lie...just stating what i heard. hope its true

I tried calling Sprint Customer Service today. My upgrade date is July 01 and I used to be the premier member that got the upgrade every 12 months. The lady was not very helpful and told me that if I want to upgrade the 2 months early it would cost me $175 additional. Cancelling my contract would be $140.

So if I was to stay with sprint it would cost me $175 + $250 (and fees) totaling $425. To leave sprint I would pay $140 plus new phone $200 totaling $340. We have 4 lines with Sprint and been with them over 10 years. I was shocked they would not even move me up 2 months when I said I am going to leave.

Whoever got them to change their date was much luckier than I was!
