Sprint Epic 4G phone app crashes when receiving a call

Hello AC forum-goers!
I am a very big Android enthusiast and typically I know the answer to my problem, however, this one has me stumped. My mom owns a Sprint Epic 4G, and it has worked fine up until now. Now, when she receives a call, the phone application crashes. I have tried to restart the phone many times to no success. I have removed the battery quite a few times already. I looked for software updates and firmware updates and there are none available. She can dial out, but she can't receive calls. I'm not sure why. I was thinking that the next step might be for me to help her factory reset her phone. Should I do that or waste my time with Sprint customer support?
Any advice would most certainly appreciated!

It sounds like she has added some "reject call" messages since she got it. With the new el30 update that was recently pushed down, it's a known issue that if there are more than 5 choices listed, it will crash the phone when a call comes in. Simple fix, go in and remove anything over the 5 message limit.

The fact that there is "no updates available" more or less confirms this.

Settings-> Call settings-> Reject call with message-> Leave 5 but no more
Hit the menu key, and choose delete. Use the checkmarks to select what you need to remove.

Give it a shot, and let us know if it worked, or not.
