I connect the phone via USB to my desktop. I copy music files to externalSD. The folder shows all my files successfully copied.
I disconnect USB and wait for phone to display that the Media Scan is complete.
Open music player... Out of 1,100 files only 500 work. The other spit out error messages that file is corrupt or not a valid format. Plug USB back in, open folder, it's empty.
Start whole process over. Same results, but the formerly corrupt files work and others don't.
Formatted microSD thru the desktop and thru the phone. Same problem all the time. I even tried formatting the phone back to factory settings to see if it is an app gumming up the works, same problems.
If I put the microSD into the adapter, I can copy to the card and play the music on the computer. But the second I mount the microSD to the phone, I get issues.
How do I know if it's the phone or the card? The card is a brand new Sandisk. The files aren't corrupt, it's the same music on my computer that has been copied to my old Evo's 8GB microSD as well as our ipod touch, no name brand mp3 player, and both netbooks.
