HTC selling HTC EVO 4G with new, upgrade, no-contract prices

Intomobile reports HTC has adjusted their off-contract price point to $549

If true...will this make the EVO not so incredible to you? (pun intended)

I saw the price of the Evo in the Radio Shack system. 449. If you're only eligible for the one year thing, its 375 if you sign another 2 year contract.

If this is true then I'd rather fork the $450 and get the full $150 off upgrade + $100 MIR next year. Thank you. I was under the impression that you still got the $100 MIR even with the $75 off for extending your contract.

I thought this too, but i spoke with a sales rep (not in a store, but over the phone) and you do not get the MIR if you use the $75 off.

I called a few Sprint stores today to try and gather some info. None of them knew what the off-contract price would be or how many phones they have. At least that's what they were telling me. They said the EVO price would not show up in the system until late Thursday night/early Friday morning.

They guessed at the price and I had quotes from $479-$700.

I guess I will show up early at one of the 3 corporate stores near me and see what happens.
