sprint forgot about the Evo ;(

I am seeing this new version of Android market out there, I have never got an update. Mine is 2.3.4 on evo 4g.
Am I missing something or is the Evo not included??

Do a google search and download the apk for it. That's what I did a long time ago.

In response to the OP, don't let it get you down too much. As already mentioned there is solid support in the dev community, and i personnaly snicker inside when one of my friends goes to show off their new TOL phone and I know from reading that their device has an inferior radio to my og EVO. Seriously so many of these recent phones being released only have additional RAM and dual core as attributes to hold over our EVO's. Inferior radios, screens, build quality, and even just the ability to stream video as smoothly, seam to plague a lot of the new products. Like already said by another before me, I'm waiting for a game changer, something that will live up to the awesomeness that is the EVO. IMO it truly was the last game changer and is doing a fine job of holding its own. Just ask my buddy that bought the Epic Touch 4g, and suffers week signal (incredible phone btw), or my other buddy with the Bionic that struggles to get 5hrs out of a charge, (another great device btw). Hopefully sometime in the near future we'll see a solid effort by HTC and get a EVO II or something of the sort that will truely continue the legacy of the og EVO.

I've been checking out the Samsung "Note". Guess that will be my next one. 5.4 inch screen with phone and pen sounds good to me.

I googled that and it looks amazing. Blurring the lines between smartphone and tablet. Carrying around a device that big is a tough sell tho. Im gonna need to see in person first.

I'm actually surprised by how well they kept the EVO up to date. There was plenty of Updates, Ads, Promos for the majority of the phone's life. It's still a good phone, but there are bigger and better things coming out - and fast. It would actually surprise me if they kept working on the EVO.

I have another 8 or so months on my contract with my EVO. I still love the thing, and will gladly hold onto it until my upgrade. By the time that rolls around, I can't even imagine how much better the phones will be. I'm sure there will be a flagship HTC device around then, HTC is better than the other manufacturers IMO.

Even if Sprint leaves the EVO behind, there is still TONS of support from users and devs, like other people have mentioned.

I'm really hoping HTC will release a new EVO in the near future. Something similar to the EVO+, but with TOL specs. My OG EVO was so impressive to me and such a game changer that my dream phone is a new sexy TOL EVO.

I'd like to see some update from HTC to fix all the screw ups since the Gingerbread update.

Hell yeah! This Sense restart issue gets on my last nerve.
I doubt there will ever be a fix. The fix is buy the Evo 3D

The fix for me is to not buy another HTC.

Even though my evo does that sense reboot about ten times a day, Im still trying to hold on to my evo phone for at least another 9 months. By Summer 2012 I can finally buy another sprint phone that uses LTE instead of WIMAX. I can say the evo 4g had alot of support from both sprint and htc.

I loved my launch day OG EVO for the first year, but the Gingerbread update ruined it, causing a permanent battle to keep enough free space that ate up countless hours for four months before I ended the pain by paying full price for a Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch This Name Is Ridiculously Long Branding Is Dumb At Times. It weighs 2/3rd as much, has a far better screen, and is faster than blazes. If I didn't have the memory space problem, I could've probably made it to my April 2012 upgrade date w/o much drama, but oh to the well.

How much space does it have for installing apps?

Also do you miss HTC Sense? How is Touch Wiz or whatever it is they call it?

I presume you were asking me? How much space for apps? This much space for apps. Touch Wiz is VERY slick. You can drag and scrub through home and app screens or just tap on the dot to leap over. You can remove unneeded homescreens (I'm only running three now) and re-order what's left so that if you want your clock and whatnot on the leftmost one and the rest to the right, you can. (I think the Home key defaults to whatever was 1st and follows it around where you moved it.)

Also, pressing the Home key and power button takes a screen shot!

Yeah my bad I meant to quote you the first time. I like the reordering of the home screens. I can't believe you can't take screen shot without routing on the evo. I might have to consider samsung. To me touch wiz just don't look good. Looks like a cartoon..but I could get over that..

I don't know about it looking cartoony; it looks like Launcher Pro to my eyes. This is the new Touch Wiz 4.0 so perhaps it's different. The OG EVO and Sense was my first Android phone and other than a brief try with CM7 it was all I knew. I'm not missing anything much though the stock clock and weather widgets sucked, so I replaced them with Fancy Widgets and Beautiful Widgets, both free from GetJar and/or Amazon from time to time.

I just noticed that, unlike with Sense, your wallpaper is visible to all edges and you aren't losing the bottom as you can see in this screenshot. Extra sweet thing about the GS2 is the Kies Air app which allows you to access the phone's memory to transfer files wirelessly. I just pulled the shot off the phone to my PC to upload here. No more emailing photos to my computer to post! Yay!

In case anyone is wondering, the Live Wallpaper is called Prismatic Free and it's in the Market.
