Sprint Galaxy Nexus S 4G (8PH-D720) activate on Verizon?

Hello,
I was wondering. Can you activate a Sprint Galaxy Nexus S 4G (8PH-D720) on the Verizon Network? I don't know much about the types of network they use. The phone does not have a SIM card.

I also don't know much about rooting and what that entails, but is there a way to root the phone for it to work on Verizon?

Correct. Can't be used on Verizon network, even if rooted.

Edit: This conversation should be be taking place in the Nexus S 4G forums, but regardless it still remains it can't be activated on Verizon.
