Why are these phones so different as in rating, weight, ect. Is it because Sprint's is not GSM or what? Just wanted to understand this.

Little bigger battery on the Sprint side.. That is probably the difference along with the additional radio since Sprint is CDMA/LTE verses the GSM ....
