I don't receive notifications when I receive emails through my gmail or fb account, any ideas why I do not get notifications on my icons?????

I don't know about Facebook emails but the stock phone doesn't supply Gmail notifications. I use Nova Launcher Pro plus the Tesla Unread plugin. Well worth the money and the latest update added voicemail notifications too.

I have AT&T, but the gmail app does send push notifications.

I dont know about facebook but my stock Gmail app sends notifications just fine, even for multiple email accounts. Try going into settings, general, application manager, at the top click all and scroll down until you find Gmail and make sure the box by show notifications is checked
