Sprint: Galaxy Note 9 Pre-Order Thread

Anyone know when the Note 9 will get the Calling Plus feature? I found this feature invaluable on the Note 8 (Had to wait a few months to get it on my Note 8 as well). I would expect that this feature would be out of beta and preinstalled on new Sprint phones by now...

I'll be dealing with that later. I used my husband's upgrade and he's getting my Note8 to replace his aging Note4. The last time we did this was with the Note7 fiasco and I had to opt for the S7Edge and even though it was my number that was transferred, his phone number would show in the 'About Phone'. Took 2 hours at a Sprint store to fix it. It never goes smoothly. Next year for the Note 10, I'll be using my own upgrade.

Since you used your husband's upgrade, shouldn't it really go to him?

He's not into phones like I am. I have offered upgrades to him for the past 3 years. He was happy with the Note 4 with a zerolemon 10k battery. He works construction and likes having a brick with a battery. In fact he's upset that he's got to start over with a new phone because he was used to the old software. His complaint today was he couldn't sign into any sites because he didn't remember his passwords. And it took too many taps to get where he wanted to go. I still have work to do on the set up but after setting mine up and then his I gave up at 4am because it was still downloading apps. He'll get over it and love it eventually.

He could get the S8 ACTIVE which is a sturdy phone, if Samsung made them.

I've read that you should put it in LTE/CDMA mode

Yes mine was awful. I ended up taking the unlocked to TMoble prepaid and they had no issues

In my case is the opposite; my wife doesn't care about tech in general, I've used her upgrade to get my Note 9 and gave her my Note 8.

Lol. I'm the tech nut here - husband just got a free Iphone 7 through work - he gets work phones so he doesn't really care lol. He had the Iphone 6 for a LONGtime and it was not in good shape.

Me - I have phone issues and a particular affinity/obsession with the Note line. Currently using the Note 9 with my bluetooth keyboard and mouse

I registered here to post since watching others update helped me get through...the Sprint BYOD screen now reads my 512Gb unlocked as legit, but my Not8 SIM still failed to work. So I went to a local Sprint franchise location and they got me set up, no charge for new SIM, and I walked out with a Sprint enabled 512Gb Note9. I hated the waiting, but it did work out to stay with Sprint.

Glad it worked out for you. I unfortunately had a negative experience. In store, on phone, online. I ran out of patience. However I do still ha e my kids on Sprint for now, at least for this year.
