Sprint galaxy S4 software update

I currently have my phone rooted. Can I perform the update and keep my root or will I lose my root or even worse will it brick my phone?

You will loose root if done via "mottochopper" and will not be able to re-root via that method. (though the SU app stays on the phone, it doesn't grant access)

I don't know about other methods.

So once again I will say this, as I do with every single ota your location had nothing to do with the update. It is random and if you want you can force it yourself or download and install yourself. @Gtronic #herewestay

Got it here in NC. Was ready when I woke up, so they must have pushed it overnight. So far I don't notice any difference.

I got it in Wisconsin and I guess I don't see a real difference except maybe the battery is draining faster and that is certainly not an improvement. I was also using it a lot today but over all I don't see any big differences at all.

Wondering if others are seeing a big change in performance or battery life?

There is a multiple big changes in this update. The black levels are fixed, the stuttering and lag is fixed for the most part. Kernel and bootloader changes etc.

Does anyone know what CSB and RP signify in the OTA filename? Specifically I'm curious if CSB or RP are device specific abbreviations or if other OTA files for other GS4 devices would have that as well.
