Sprint hotspot

Sorry if this is repetitive hut I just got my EVO today and I'm new to HTC sense but I notice I have a app called "sprint hotspot". I'm coming from a LG optimus s and the only way to have free hotspot was through root so my question is is this a free app or will Sprint "tax" me for using it?

you will be taxed lol it sucks but you could always root...

My optimus was rooted but that was a lower end device. I rooted it to make it do things the evo can do stock LOL. So I prob won't root right away.

P.s. I can think of no other reason why somebody would put 216 on their user name if they weren't from Cleveland. Me as well. Lakeshore
