sprint hotspot

ok im having an issue with the wireless tether both with sprint hotspot app and the wireless tether app. with the sprint hot spot app all my wifi devices will connect to it just fine but have no internet access. and with the wifi tether app my devices will find it but wont connect at all. anyone have any suggestions?

If your not paying for the hotspot that is the answer. As fas as the wireless tether reset the phone and or computer. It takes a minute or two if the connection is new.

I have had Sprint Hotspot from the time I bought the phone, actually worked a deal and they allowed me to cancel my Overdrive without penalty, and it has and does work flawlessly...but, I do pay for it

Now uploading to YouTube from the phone that is another matter.

Are you paying Sprint the $30 a month for the hotspot plan? If not, then the Sprint hotspot won't work.

Are you rooted? If not, then the wireless tether app won't work at all. Also, the wireless tether app that's in the market won't work with Froyo on the Evo. You will need to use this version:

(Again this will NOT work unless you are rooted)

ok i figured it out called sprint and they restored my data profile in there system and refreshed the feature and it started working all of a sudden

Yeah, dude. My wife and I have had this issue since she got the HTC OTA update this past weekend. Awaiting a response from Sprint to resolve, hopefully as easy as mentioned above (with some prorated credit to my account).

Not cool, man. You're paying quite a bit a month for an uber powerful feature. You should seriously tap into that. PM me if you have questions on getting it setup, it's pretty easy.
