SPRINT HTC EVO 4G or SPRINT SAMSUNG EPIC 4G

Now this one is the big question im kinda stumped in. They both run 4G I know the EVO has 0.3 bigger screen, HDMI port, .5 GIG bigger Ram , 3.0MP bigger camera with dual flash, and kickstand. LOL. Does the physical keyboard make a big difference? Will you return your EVO and get the GALAXY S PRO ?

Don't they both have 512 MB of RAM and front camera, and dual flash, and the screen difference is negligible, since it's the 2nd biggest sold. HDMI seems less important since the video quality is less than stellar due to compression/frame rate cap.

I guess i ment Rom one has 1GIG and other has .5 gig ... and yea they do both have front facing camera... but the s pro has single led flash and yea very true the HDMI doesnt really mean a whole buch but it is a loss

The "available" Rom for installation of apps on the Evo is actually quite low, and only just over 400Mb. On the Incredible, it's over 700Mb. And on most other Android phones, "right now", most have 512Mb, dedicated Rom.

So, actually, the Evo is the worse of the bunch for ROM....note, this does not include outdated Android phones.

And it looks like the Galaxy S has two led flashes, while the Galaxy S Pro has one.

As to the keyboard and looks, to each his own.

24bit Super AMOLED screen makes a huge difference for me. The EVO 16bit screen has color banding and dull colors. If the EVO had a better quality screen then I might have got it. Also prefer a physical keyboard.

Both look like great phones, (heck most any android phone on the market today seems to be hitting it out of the park), but you got to look a usability. I would want to play with the UI before making a judgement call. We all know that Sense is awesome. We will see.

I thought I wanted a physical keyboard, but then I tried swype on my EVO. That is all.

;)

Same here. Up until now I have always had a phone with a physical keyboard, and it has taken some time to get used to the soft keyboard. And, yes, there were times when I thought maybe I should have waited for a Evo-like phone with a physical keyboard.

But yesterday I got into the beta program for Swype, and it is freakin' amazing! Within the first few minutes I was already typing faster than I used to on my Treo 700's physical keyboard.

Ever see the Samsung moment let alone feel how heavy it is. now take that same concept add nearly an inch, plus more plastic and more slider hardware and were looking at carrying a brick in your pocket, not to mention in the past sliders have always had problems and samsung has fallen short on supporting phones after they release, i will stay with my evo and be perfectly fine

The Evo is way too sexy. The Samsung Galaxy S looks exactly like the iPhone. Why get the immitation...if that's the look you want, just go with the iPhone.

About the only thing...okay maybe two....are the Super AMOLED screen and maaayyybe the supposed eternal battery life that it's said to have.

That's just me though. I personally am glad this is coming out. Variety is the spice of life. The more the better IMO.

Galaxy pro isnt released yet, but since I could not upgrade at launch, then I will have the ability to wait and see side by side...

Super AMOLED sounds interesting...
Price will be a factor for me...

I am guessing the Galaxy S Pro is getting the same processor as the Galaxy S? That Hummingbird under the hood is supposed to be very good at 3d rendering clocking in at 90 million triangles per second (Snapdragon does 22 million if I remember right) as mentioned in that preview video over at Engadget of the Galaxy S.

That is the one and only thing I am envious off. I like the Evos screen, so the one the Galaxy must really be good looking. But the screen alone wouldn't be reason enough to switch.
