Sprint HTC EVO 4G USB Desktop Cradle with Battery Slot

Is anyone using this with a case on the phone?

If so what case?

Or does anyone know specific cases that won't work?

It says that the AC charger only charges the extra battery not the phone. The phone charges off of your computer USB cable and that is typically twice as slow as a wall charger.

True. I'm using the USB to 2-prong wall adapter that came with my Evo since I'm not charging near my computer anyway. The only improvement I would like to see, is not having a USB cable hard-wired into the dock, and have a micro-USB connector instead. That way I could use any micro-USB power cord I have laying around!

I think you could plug the dock's USB cable into the AC adapter that came with the Evo. The issue seems to be that the built in AC charger only connects to the battery compartment, not the micro USB plug that charges the battery in the phone. Even if not, if I've got the phone sitting in the cradle while I'm at work, I'm keeping it from getting discharged, so a really fast charge probably isn't that important (to me).

got the charger today, it works good, though I don't have an extra battery to test the extra charger.

Quick question, the USB is a pass-through right? So when connected to a computer to charge you could also select the disk drive option on the Evo's Connect to PC screen or just charge? Seems obvious but I've had "usb" cables for chargers in the past that only pass power and wouldn't work as a data usb cable.

Let me know if you've been able to connect to the PC with the Evo in the dock, thanks!

I own an htc eno 4g phone and I would love to make it a little jazzy by changing its skin, and to enhance the device’s natural beauty with a choice of skins. So can any one provide some kind of skins stuff for my htc eno 4g phone.

Looks like there are a few different docks popping up on ebay.

Here is one that comes with 2 extra batteries for $22.99 with free shipping:

Well, I ordered one of the cheap Chinese cradles.

It does what it says it does. But I'm not sure I would recommend it, nor am I sure I'll use it. The problem is that the only support for the phone, and the only thing that holds it in the cradle, is the microUSB connector. I'm not sure I like the idea of putting constant stress on that connector.

I guess I'll chalk this up to lessons learned, and consider it an extra battery charger.

I am eyeballing these two. I want something that will help not put to much stress on the USB/charging port. This one looks like maybe the phone inserts a little bit so I am guessing that would help. it just looks thin and wonder if it will tip easily
