Sprint is playing games with the pricing. Its $249 as an eligible upgrade and $199 with a new line of service. Both with 2 year contract.

since you are upgrading it usually means your contact is up so tell them to price match the $199 or you're switch carriers. Usually you'll have a 50/50 success rate.

Not when you are on an older Friends and Family plan with 5 lines and only one is up for free upgrades, they stagger the contract dates on the lines for very good reason. Still, its much better pricing than what is currently offered to Framily plans.

- I tried on web..showed $249.99 as an upgrade.
- If you logged on with new PLAN also..$199.
- Webchat...they were stuck on the $249.99 if I wanted to keep my existing plan.
- Called into main sprint support...told me I could order online, choose one of the new plans and get the $199. Then after receiving phone but before ACTIVATING phone, call them back and tell them I wanted to stay on my current plan..I would then have phone for $199 with current Family Plan with corporate discount.
I balked at that and got on with Telesales.....they gave me:
Phone and accessory subtotal: $249.99 (and a $50 rebate)
Activation/Upgrade fee: $0.00 (part of their promo or part of my corporate discount?)
Estimated shipping: $12.00
Estimated tax: $30.25
Total: $292.24 Less $50 rebate via AMEX gift card in 6+weeks.
Got my email confirmation of above, with order number, but no estimated shipping date beyond their 3-5 days (but usually on launch phones they ship overnight...so I am hoping).

The graphic posted earlier shows an upgrade order with the $50 discount. When I called they didn't believe me but when they checked further they found it. At first I was going to have to cancel my order and start over.
