Sigh is right.

But...... here's a conversation getter. Are there any Sprint phones that don't have Sprint printed on them?

UPDATE: ok my source said 2nd Q of 2013 for a release. No pure date date, but it will not be in March. The hold up is due to Sprint and other US carriers wanting their branding on the phone LOL

iphone, I think. It really makes sense for sprint to put it's name on it's phones because they will only activate phones they sold. Too much chance for confusion otherwise.

Well, April is Q2, so that's not anything new after HTC announced the delay.

The delay (per HTC) is a parts supply issue.

Sprint actually has several devices without Sprint branding on them. iPhone is a no brainer, Optimus G also has no Sprint branding. Possibly the Nexus S, but I don't recall.

The delay actually has nothing to do with carrier branding and nobody has reported it as such.

Re: NEW HTC ONE
Timbx,

The only info we have is 2nd Q of 2013. They were specific due to the fact they might need to push it back. This just means we are going to make sure the device is 110% at launch. We really do appreciate your patience on this. It wont be much longer.

I got that same Q2 response on a web chat with Sprint. When I expressed my disappointment at what now seems to be a long wait, she said that I shouldn't worry as April 1 was the beginning of Q2... I'm sincerely hoping that was a hint that it will be sooner rather than later...

Also the Note 2 does not have Sprint printed on it. Just the start up screen and the pull down notification screen.

I was gonna say Note 2, but wasn't sure. It's for sure not as bad as Verizon's note 2 branding.

I was wondering if the guy I was talking to was full of it or not lol.

More and more sprint reps on the forums are saying Q2.

I've been using my Optimus S for the last two years and I CANNOT wait to upgrade.

Sweet jesus, release this phone already!

Just got back from sprint store to replace my dad's dumb phone. I asked the rep about any updates on the htc one and he went into a tirade about htc "sucks" and they can't get any suppliers to build the phone. He then went on to tell me the SG4 is gods gift to earth, I repeated to him I was sold on htc one but he would not shut up about SG4. Does anyone know why Sprint is doing this?

HTC phones are rarely as available to employees as quickly as Samsung phones are, so Samsungs are typically the best new phone available when they upgrade.

Also, as I said before... Sprint employees aren't tech experts. They are sales reps. Samsung is easier to sell because customers know the brand.

I'm not going to shame you. You learned your lesson. At least you didn't get the Samsung Intercept.

This phone will be the greatest thing to ever happen to you.

Could be worse, the HTC Hero is still on the Sprint website for $29.99 refurbished. I can't imagine anyone buying it, unless they made the mistake of thinking that any phone you have to pay for is better than a free phone. (Yes, I know it was a good phone.... Four years ago)
