Sprint is sending me a new phone since ICS screwed it up!

Yeah yesterday evening I spent another hour with sprint on the phone trying to get my $35 credit. I had to take my receipt to the corporate store, then the sprint tech called me back and got on the phone with the store clerk, and guess what, the store clerk can look at notes on file and place notes. GEE! That's not what you told me 100's of times before. I will never set foot in the Fenton MI Corporate Sprint store again!!!!

I just got off the phone with Sprint...again....They are sending me a NEW (not Refurb) epic touch phone from the warehouse. No charge.

I asked if it will have GB or ICS she replied 'GB, this is a new phone from the warehouse'

I asked for email confirmation but all they gave me was order no. that I can track through
UPS/ 2 day air.
I will update once it is in my hands. update on this thread, not to ICS!!!

I am not sure how many times others have called, but i called three times and spent a fruitless Saturday afternoon at the corp store getting a full reset b/c they said they cant regress my phone back to GB. When i spoke to sprint last night on the phone about what troubleshooting hoops i went through, (and i also told them how the corp store badmouthed 1888 sprint) they quickly said we will get you a new Epic.
Lucky for me? maybe.

I called back this morning and they confirmed that, yes, i am getting a new one.

Good for you markta. I'm happy I'm back to GB, but not happy it keeps telling me to update, and not happy with how much screwing around I've done and time I've spent getting something back to where I was in the first place.

I raised Holy H3ll until they finally decided to send me a brand new phone, not refurbished, but brand spanking new phone.

Got my new phone and back to GB!!!

It was a battle, but neat-less to say, one that I won!

I won't ever touch ICS again. NO Thank You!!!

Wow, i wish i would have read this thread before i did the update, now i can't read any emails or text..smdh...i refuse to deal with a Sprint store right now, the last time went to there store...i had to return a refurbish evo3d 3 times before they gave me another phone...

I just got my replacement E4GT tonight and it is all set up to the way it was before July 16th, the day the ice cream sandwich melted. It came out of the box running GB and all i can say is 'it just works. works like it is supposed to.' I love my phone again.

I just read on the Net someplace that we are supposed to be getting Jellybean soon.

I to updated, as did my wife and son and we hate it. We may be trying to get replacments.
