I looked but didn't see this, but if I missed it please point me in the right direction.

I just restarted my G3 for the first time since I got it about two weeks ago and when it booted back up it pops up this window about some new Sprint default and it goes through and reinstalls all the Sprint software and bloatware and re-sets up my home screens to the way it came out of the box. This is my first phone with Sprint ID (had a string of HTC phones before this) so I don't know if this is common behavior for Sprint ID or if there is someway to stop this outside of rooting and un-installing Sprint ID (I looked, can't be uninstalled or disabled). What obvious thing am I missing on this?

So I guess I've found a unique issue. I guess I'll keep digging and see what I can figure out.

I feel sorry for US users...you seem to have so much carrier trouble. If Sprint is responsible for what's happening on your device then Sprint ought to fix it. On the other hand it might be just a device glitch.

I just restarted my sprint lg g3 for the first time today, and the same thing happened. I had uninstalled and disabled as much of the Spring bloatware that I didn't want and once the phone restarted, everything started getting reinstalled and the home screens returned to the way they were out of the box. Any ideas about why this is happening? This is ridiculous!!!

The Sprint G3 includes a Sprint theming app called Sprint ID: What’s your Sprint ID?

Look in the Sprint apps to see if there's an option to turn Sprint ID off, or otherwise disable it.

I also found this page: https://community.sprint.com/baw/message/505237#505237#505237

Search for the paragraph beginning with "Cut to"

Cut right to the solution... the Sprint Attendant downloaded another ID Pack. Once there were multiple different IDs packs available to the app, the default samsung ID pack was able to be loaded correctly; returning all my desktop icons to where they were before and all the features I was used to using, such as the ( . . . . . . .) widget navigation, quick slider-switching between desktop panels, Google search widget only on one desktop rather than all, and ability to go from the last desktop panel directly back to the first (rather than hitting a brick wall and have to back-pedal).

D**n carrier bloatware.

I don't know if it was because it was the second restart or because I downloaded and started to install another id pack, but canceled it before it could finish, but I just tried restarting again and it was just a normal restart, nothing was changed or re-installed.

nickevans1979, feel like being a guinea pig and restarting yours without doing anything with the Sprint ID packs to see if this is a one time thing on the first restart or if it is really because of having another id pack downloaded?
