My original phone had Sprint on the front upper right and nothing but HTC on the back, having had VM send me a new replacement, the phone only had HTC on the face of the phone but VM on the back cover. So I took the rear cover from the original phone and placed it on the new phone I now have a phone with no carrier branding on it, it also gives me a spare battery, back cover, sd card and an extra charger/cable, which is about the only good thing to come out of this mess. The new phone isn't much better than the original. If you are having the same errors that a lot of others are getting, give VM a call and tell them to send you a NEW PHONE, let them know that if they send you a refurbished phone that you will send it back to them and cancel your service. This is what worked for me. I wish you all well. Just as an FYI, the NEW PHONE has the exact same software/firmware and did NOTHING to improve the problems with this phone. I will tolerate this as long as i can., but if VM/HTC don't resolve this problem sooner than later, I will downgrade my phone and get VM to credit my account with the difference in the cost of the two phones, if they do not, then it's time to switch carriers. EDIT: Well, I got a replacement phone recently and although this phone has the Sprint branding on the upper right corner, this phone has the all black back cover and has a really nice looking silver screen at the earpiece instead of the standard black one. I have a spare VM branded back cover if anyone needs one.
