Sprint Mobile Data problems

I have been waiting on my replacement phone for 13 days now. I am very frustrated with the issue.
Just received my replacement ceramic black 1TB S10+. Haven't turned it on yet but compared to the packaging of my first s10+,this one reads "Performance Edition". Hmm, I wander what is different about this one compared to my preordered one?

That is very interesting. I still have my box from my phone. They told me to bring it when I came to pick up the new one at the store. I have a loaner phone. Although I have the 128gb version (old phone) my box does not state "Performance Edition". I wonder if this is a way they are marking the new version to indicate that something different was done to them. Although I don't see why that would be necessary as they should be able to tell by their own serial numbers. I have wondered during this waiting period of "backorder" if they are just refurbishing phones and boxing them as new. Maybe they are manufacturing new phones. Who knows? All I know for sure is that for the last 14 years I had an HTC phone and I decided to try another brand and fell into this dark hole of Samsung.

Can I ask a question? Samsung told me today that we should get our phones software reflashed. We switched from Sprint to Verizon last Saturday.

Still having some LTE signal problems husbands phone worse than mine but mine was pretty bad today. I called Verizon tech support also and was told to do the same thing reflash the software. they said it won't cost anything and to go to this u break it We fix it store. I called there today and was told even though we switched we got that update from Sprint on the 16th and that we still have some Sprint software on our phones. Is that true? he said to back up our phones cuz we're going to lose everything and he has to do some binary something and reflash software.

And then today I kept not having signal in places so I want to go do it tomorrow I hate losing everything and the guy at the store on the phone told me oh I just did a Sprint phone yesterday and it fixed the person and I'm doing another phone right now. is it worth a shot to do that do I really still have Sprint software on my unlocked phone and he's going to get it off and reflash it whatever he said he's going to do? He tried
saying no it's not hardware its software and I have no idea he said it will take about an hour and a half tomorrow.

It took 11 days to get my s10+ black 128gb replaced by asurion. When I check if it was refurbished it said no. Phone came in generic white box no screen protector on it. But I do see my replacement was one of the first batch phones showing activated on March 6th.

No scratches on phone itself no signs of it ever being opened either, I wonder if phone was just reflashed with latest software....

I'm using it on LTE non stop for past few days so far it's not showing any signs of issue last one had.

Only weird part is when I attempt to update phone I get this message (photo attached)

Hope it won't cause any other issues with future updates!!!

Hmm.. that is weird. Mine came with the preinstalled screen protector and everything like my preordered phone had. When I look for updates I dont get the error your showing. I'd would get to a sprint store or with tech support asap so you wouldn't miss any updates because of the software problem.

Samsung want's my husband to send his back to them I said could you be without a phone no and neither can he? It's Crazy! And the guy at the store said it's been mostly Sprint phones.

Verizon tech support recommended having our phones reflashed too. But he said something about having Sprint and Verizon but he didn't have the unlocked Binary files since my phone was unlocked I don't anything about it. He says he called Samsung and they told him to download one thing and it wouldn't download and that he could keep my phone and I said no I'll just bring it back some other time. I am going to go talk to the Samsung rep at Best Buy on my next day off.

Best buy with Samsung experience can reflash the phone .
Sprint or Verizon not going be helpful as its unlocked phone not carrier version.
I was going say I can help reflash your device using Odin but your not familiar with that stuff.

Edit: Sprint stuff you should be able to uninstall you have the unlocked version.

How has your new phone been performing since you have had it back? I got mine yesterday from the store. It did not come in a new box. It came in a white box. He assured me it is a new phone. It appears new and has been working properly so far. I am hoping it continues.

Dial ##786 # choose view and scroll down... It'll show date it was first activated and reconditioned status

Mine came in the orignal box and everything. Night and day difference. No longer getting data failures or getting extremely hot like before.

Lucky, you got new replacement!! I got phone which belonged to someone in Oxford NY... I downloaded Samsung shop app on this phone went to my inbox and it said buds were claimed and shipped with shipping status...


I bought my s10+ on March 10th - no buds

Thanks for keeping it scratch free ... As long as it's working I'm ok with it...

It would be funny to connect with the first owner of the phone

So far LTE working for past 6 days and counting...

Well my husband's been googling reflashing phones but I would rather us not mess with it he's never done it. Are Best Buy has a Samsung rep I guess I could go there. It's just first Samsung said that's by then they said go to u break It We fix It and then they don't have the right firmware or binary files to flash due to unlocked I don't know.

But is it true that we're still having some signal problems because we have Sprint software on our phones cuz we did have a couple update since we got our phones including the Sprint April 16th one. I just hope this works cuz we're going to lose everything and start over and then I need to know once it's reflashed do we really need to get a new Verizon sim or just put the Sim that's in there now back in I don't know any of this stuff. And like I said my phone's not as bad as my husband's his signals worse but I'm still having some intermittent problems and losing internet when my friend with Verizon has internet right next to me.

So we can uninstall any updates we've had from Sprint without reflashing the whole phone? I don't know now I wish I just had a Verizon phone since I'm sticking with them when you get updates quicker but oh well.

The unlocked US version is a universal phone meaning Sprint,Verizon,Att,tmobile and smaller carrier work on it and gave the bands for those carriers. When you insert your say Sprint sim the phone will reboot and apply anything that carrier has for ,HD calling,LTE,sometimes wifi calling, but that's it . Now it gets the updates after all carriers pass that it works on their network without bugs then goes to Samsung to push to your phone , where a carrier phone takes and test from Samsung and they send it to your phone after doing their own test.

Best buy with the Samsung experience store inside should be able to load the stock firmware again. Samsung experience store could also.

I think best bet if you switch to Verizon your going to be ok or just trade that in and get Verizon carrier version and they give credit.
