Has any body figured out a way to obtain the six digit MSL for there device? I saw that you can enable the tri-band LTE utilizing ##3282# but I cannot find my MSL anywhere.

The only way I know is to call Sprint and ask for it.

Update: on the flip side, just search the Play Store for msl and try one of those apps. Maybe that will work.

The MSL apps only work if you are rooted.
My MSL was happily supplied to me during a Live Chat.

I enabled mine last week but I don't notice any difference in speed or in lte coverage. I still find it on 3g alot! I'm in the Chicagoland area which is supposedly spark enabled already

I enabled Band 41, left Band 26 disabled and set priorities accordingly.

I'm in Chicago too. I've only had my G2 for a week or two and I'm just getting up to speed on this forum. Am I understanding correctly that the G2 did not actually come with all three bands enabled?

Correct.
There will be an OTA update in the new year to enable Sprint Spark on the G2.
If you have your MSL code, you can do it manually, but if there are no towers broadcasting on those bands, it will be a waste.

I was very worked up about not having triband lte out of the box and was intent on enabling the radios myself to take advantage of Chicago's supposed network maturity, but since activating on 11/9 I have had good data and prolific lte coverage just about everywhere I go. I haven't read many accounts of users greatly improving their experience by manually enabling bands 26 and 41 so I'm fine with waiting a few weeks/months to see how things can be even better after Sprint's official update.

I just got this phone and reading about all the problems concerns me. I'm seriously thinking of swapping it. Once I have this MSL number what does it do and how do I use it? Thank you in advance.

No more "problems" than any new phone. I have not had any.

You can use your MSL to, among other things, manually enable and prioritize the other 2 LTE Bands, but as I noted above, if there are none of those towers in your area using that Band, it will not do much.
How is your LTE now?
If OK, I would not worry about it.

Are you having any problems with your G2?

Thank you for your answer. My problem is that the phone cycles through 3g full bars, 4g 1/2 bar, no bars - no connection and it just keeps cycling through this while I'm sitting in one place. Apparently it's a known issue with the Airave (just got off phone with Sprint) and I had to go to CDMA network only but it's still cycling through the connections and I'm afraid this is a poor fix. I like the phone and was excited to get it but I'm worried about connectivity. It was connecting to the Airave but it's now it's not connecting again. The other phones in my house connect fine.
And now I'm getting MIP:67 message.

I have a sprint samsung galaxy s3 and I was gonna get it flashed to another carrier, I bought the phone off craigs list and dnt have the account holders info. The other carrier told me to get the msl, so I called sprint and they wouldn't give it to me, I've tried every thing (mymsl, terminal emmulator) and nothing worked. I know the phone has a clean esn and all just dnt understand why I can't. Get the msl. I have the imei and meid if anyone could help.

I am getting decent LTE with my Nexus 5 but Spark is now in Austin, TX and San Antonio, TX and I'm smack dab in the middle. It would be helpful to be able to enable Spark on my device. If anyone has done it on the Nexus 5 with any success, please email me!
