Sprint network is upgrade in Michigan

Good to see these upgrades happening. I live in the 'burbs, but work in Oak Park and frequently travel Downtown. My 3G data on Sprint has always been ridiculously slow, so any infrastructure upgrade promises are certainly welcome by me.

But this article is boasting of already completed infrastructure upgrades...

From the article: "In the past 90 days, Sprint has implemented 85 network capacity upgrades in eastern Michigan, with 190 scheduled for the next 90 days.

I know this article was printed on March 8th, so we're probably almost halfway into that "next 90."

my 3g is ok in most parts of metro detroit. have not noticed any difference lately though lol.

O, we don't give a damn for the whole state of Michigan
The whole state of Michigan, the whole state of Michigan
We don't give a damn for the whole state of Michigan, we're from Ohio

Havent lived in MI in over 10 years but still don't miss the big game! Sprint has a stronghold on MI like like VzW has on NY (where i live now). Makes sense to treat your core markets well to maintain that client base.

This thread would garner a lot more discussion in the Sprint forums. As is only Optimus S users are gonna see it when you could have the attention of all Sprint users, not just a single device :)

StreetInsider.com - Sprint enhances 3G network coverage in eastern Michigan

Would be nice if they would start working on there 4G or LTE coverage, Only one city in the whole state has 4G and that is Grand Rapids on the other side of state!

My daughter has an EVO 3D (yes and I still have my Opti S! (got before the $10 premium ;) )) and she told me a couple weeks ago that she started getting 4G on her phone and has 4G 'sometimes' depending where she is, now. We live in the Flint area....

I live near lapeer and I'm constantly going between 3g and 1x, it destroys my battery. So any hook up is welcome..lol
