Sprint reducing coverage

Sorry igots. Didn't mean to go on the offensive.

So this is technically a breach of contract is it not? Sprint's not holding up their end of the bargain coveragewise.

Did I say you have to? No. Like I said before, you're not the only guy with a phone on Sprint and some of us do traveling quite frequently. If I paid for nationwide coverage from the ads, then I expect nationwide coverage.

Still doesnt fully explain how i am being ignorant, because by your logic so are you. You say you travel alot and thats why your pissed, and your getting angry at some of us because we are not affected and your also the one to start throwing insults around. So again and for the last time, how am i being ignorant?

Because you're trying to justify Sprint's reducing coverage. And who says I am getting angry? I'm not. I'm only pointing out that you're trying to justify Sprint's recent actions. If I really wanted to insult you, I would've. But I'm more maturer than that.

Btw, you mean you're.

I don't think he is trying to justify what Sprint has done. I'm sure, just like the rest of us, he isn't to happy with losing service area...but honestly there isn't really a lot he can do. The best thing we can do is to let other Sprint customers know the facts and let each of them make up their own minds. Myself, I've been feeling the effects of the coverage drop for over a month now, so I'll be switching to T-Mobile because they have much better signal and service where I'm at. Other than that man, just relax and switch carriers. :-)

And where i have i ever justified their reduction? I have yet to ever say in this thread or another to lay off of Sprint or anything like that. Have i?

Alright guys, last warning lets knock it off. It boils down to a bad choice of words, and a miss understanding.

Let it lay.

And btw, companies advertise things that aren't true all the time. You're not paying for what they advertise, youre paying for what was in that contract you signed.

Are you seeing the affects of this roaming agreement loss for us here in San Diego county? If you drive east of the 8 and go past Lakeside coverage pretty much drops out completely. I've been on the phone a few times with Sprint and this roaming loss has a much bigger affect on San Diego than you would think considering it is such a large metro area. I'm not a happy camper right now, I go camping and offroading 2 or 3 times a month out in that area and I'm pretyt much SOL when it comes to signal in the past few weeks.

Actually I'm from Lakeside so I visit there alot, but I still haven't noticed any bad service areas or anything of the sort.

Hopefully sprint gets this solved for those that are having problems.

People people I talked to a Sprint rep yesterday and they said that the map is wrong the coverage is not being reduced they're taking down old towers and putting up 4g towers in those areas so don't freek out they are making there network better also the map on there site show the roming first you need to go to 3g and 4g and they are making there voice better they are just working on the network so just wait oh and juat to jet you guys know the map is not all ways up to date I do know that they are putting up there own towers so juat wait

I think what it comes down to is what works for you. If Sprint does then keep them. If they don't then change to a company who does work well for you. Sprint worked great for me until a few weeks ago. If they don't get it fixed then I will switch to the only other company who works here, VZW. It's definintely not about defending Sprint or bashing them. It is about using who works for you and knowing there is no single company that covers 100% of the United States therefore no single company that will work for everyone.

I will second that, other the sprint not working for me cause it does.

all i know is that pretty much anywhere i can make a verizion call i can call on my sprint phone. my plan includes unlimited roaming so i have seen no difference in service at all. i get faster data in montana then i do in seattle or tacoma......

Yeah, I think i am too fiery. I'll try to be easy. I'm currently looking at T-Mobile myself and it looks like they've improved a lot coverage wise plus I am showing 4G coverage all over in my area. It's only a matter of phone choice for me since I am looking at the Galaxy S II and the iPhone 5 on Verizon

No, you haven't. But it's how you're responding about it.

I'd take everything the Sprint store says with a grain of salt since they will tell you the sky is pink with lemonade and ponies if it means keeping you on their network and getting you to buy something.

My town is supposedly covered in 3G, but even Google search pages load slowly most of the time. I also traveled to DC recently and had pretty bad coverage there.

Just got off the phone with Sprint tech support, and was advised that they were recently told that Sprint and VZW were going to merge.

I know it has been rumored for quite some time. Did you get the reps name?

If it means Verizon quits shafting keyboard slider fans then I'm all for it. :) Then it's just Red vs Blue.

There's no way that's true. I mean, if AT&T merges with T-Mobile and this rumor happens up above, then it'll become a monopoly, a BIG one at that.

Neither one will happen most likely. Att and Tmo merger means a monopoly GSM company. A vzw and Sprint merger would mean a CDMA monopoly.

Seeing as there are still regional carriers for cdma that cannot happen and also since verizon is switching to gsm it wont be a gsm monopoly for the att tmobile merger. But i doubt sprint and verizon will merge.

Not to doubt you...but where on Earth did you hear that Verizon is switching to GSM? That would cripple their customer base.
