Sprint S3 info (from insidesprintnow)

I hope it stays. Keeps all versions as close to the same as possible.

Better case compatibility
Easier to get updates done
Easier to get compatible apps
Easier to get custom roms

Maybe some of those do not make a BIG difference, but every bit helps. Anyway, we would see 3 capacitive buttons, don't you think?
Isn't that the new ICS setup?

Apps, roms and updates have nothing to do with the button layout. They will all be different anyway due to cdma vs gsm, firmware + radio differences etc.

Physical buttons break, I've seen it happen on many phones. Give me a non moving part any day.

I really want the 3GB for US confirmed though, and there's still hope Sprint will make some other improvements like they always do.

I bet since S-Voice is integrated into the physical button that Samsung is making all carriers keep it

Anyone know if this will be a world phone?? Or hidden SIM card slot like the EVO LTE???

How much do you think the US galaxy s3 will cost? In Canada its $160 for 16gb, and India is 38,900 Rupees, which is $700 US dollars.

Based on the bands the FCC reported for the Sprint version, no. The Verizon version has some GSM friendly bands so it might be somewhat of a world phone.

Easier to get accessories too. I'm a case whore and it's best when designers have to produce cases for one form factor.

Verizon support for gsm bands sounds pretty great, esp if they make the sim card accessible.
I hope they release it soon.

Pebble blue naked. I've always been a case guy too but I might go caseless to let the aesthetics and design show. I baby my phones so much I don't even think it benefits from a case. The more I read about it, the more I'm leaning toward Siii over the E4GLTE.

I don't use cases....

Any word on whether or not the s3 is going to have the button on the bottom?

I've gotten used to phones without a physical button.

It is going to have the button on the bottom just like the international version.

I'm glad to see that Samsung is not "customizing" the design for each US carrier. I'm sick of it limiting the # of accessories I can purchase. With at least 20 million handsets sold worldwide I can rest assured that I'll be able to find great accessories for my new S3.

What does it do? Does anybody know? Does it go home like the iPhone button? I hate that... ugh

Yes, it acts like the iphone home button, and it launches a few other features of the phone. If you do not like a phone a with a physical home button then you should not get this phone.
