Sprint S3 Order Status

Mine says this:

The order or a portion of the order is in backorder status. If the customer would like to select an alternate product or cancel the backordered item, transfer to Order Support.

I ordered a 32GB Blue on day 1. I don't remember if the text said this before though, hmmm...

Ditto. I ordered the 32GB White on day 1 and I have the same status...

Congrats to the person that actually got a shipped status! Sooo jealous!

Well I chatted via internet and they said that everything is fine. But I dont know...something seems fishy. My order status has been blank up to this point.

Haha this place is going to go nuts today if people don't start reading these other threads.

1) As of right this minute no one that has ordered this through Sprint has received a tracking number.
2) Everyone is reporting that if you use your "O" number (whatever that is) you get the backorder message. If you use your "D" number (whatever that is) you get the "Your equipment has shipped message..."

If people want steps on how to get your "D" number it's in one of the other threads.

Bottom line is until we get a tracking number we have to assume the phones are not shipped yet.

gruppe I would be concerned if you never got the "oy" number in your email after you ordered the phone.

From what I have been told that "D" number is basically useless. In fact, if I check that right now, my EVO, which I got 2 years ago has the same message as my GSIII. :-\

All of the service reps are saying the only number that matters is the "oy" one. I would call.

I called Sprint - the very helpful technician (not being sarcastic, she really was helpful) explained that the message I pasted above is what you'll see, and there haven't been any issues getting inventory from Samsung, so as long as you pre-ordered, you should get your phone by the 21st, no problem. So I'm going to chillax for a bit, heh.

Yeah, I chatted with them as well and they stated that its a glitch in their system and there is no problem with the devices. So I'm gonna run with that until the guys here make a post that the phones are delayed....;)
