Sprint Samsung Galaxy note 5 not working with android auto

Is any else having problems with the note 5 not being able to connect to android auto. I recently purchased and installed the pioneer avic 8100 and i just cant seem to get android auto to work. I am using the usb slot 2 and I have the app installed but no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated

In settings, did you change the phone input from iPhone/iPod to "All Other Sources"? You need to make that change in order for it to recognize your phone for Android Auto. I believe it is set for iPhones by default.
