Sprint Samsung OTA Software Version L710VPD4 is out

The easiest way to manually do these upgrades is to load it to your computer and move it to your SD card. Then re-install the card to your phone and follow the directions in the How to update to --- thread. Works first time, every time. Many thanks to meyerweb and Shunkape.

You'd think that Samsung would include more proprietary/pre-installed apps (the phone app, for example) with the ability to be used in split screen.

I got my update this morning. I didn't even see the article on Friday about it's release and usually I am the first to know! ha so this am was a pleasant surprise. So far everything is working great! Multi view is nice. The paper artist app is cool. Gallery is updated. I hated the last update gave the keyboard some bugs and lag but so far it seems to be fixed or much better for now. Hope you get yours soon!

I have attempted to get information regarding the update in the Sprint forums, but have not had much luck in getting an answer to my question.

I'd like to know why there is no mention of an update to the Swype keyboard. Right now, I have the original Swype keyboard plus the beta version. Swype released an update for the keyboard to OEMs. Samsung has no information to provide regarding the update. There is no mention of the keyboard update in the Sprint blog post regarding the overall software update.

I would guess Sprint has been working on this update since well before the new update to Swype was ready. If Sprint decided to incorporate that at the last minute, they would have had to go back and do significant regression testing, delaying the release of MD4. Unlike a hobbyist ROM developer who can incorporate a new feature or app in a ROM, and throw it out here for users to test, Samsung and Sprint have to do real testing before release.

If you want or need the latest version of Swype, it's in the Play store.

Glad to see someone finally got it. Now I will check a little more. lol

It was ready for me to download when I 1st woke got up this morning, downloaded and installed great. My wife S3 hzas not shown an update yet. Bought them 1 week apart. So I guess it is just going to be random for some. It runs multiple programs nice now.

I still haven't gotten it. I've tried manually through settings, kies air and also downloading the mb4 zip file but My pc won't let me transfer files from pc to phone. . Can't wait anymore. ..

Hey so I tried the clear framework method to update to trigger the MD4 OTA update, and now Google Play no longer lists my device as available. And when i click on the 'don't see your device?' link, it's a spanish-language page that doesn't seem to have any solutions. Any ideas? I have a Sprint GS3 with L710VPBMB1, non-rooted. Thanks for any advice!

My phone never lost connectivity with Google Play, the only problem was on the desktop computer, I visited play.google.com, and it said that I had no device associated with my account. I contacted a Google rep (via callback) and he suggested that I simply download a free app on my phone, and that should sync up the service with my device. He was right! A quick download and in about ten minutes I was back to managing my apps via Play on Chrome browser. Simple as that!

I would like to know what that app was as well.

The rep just had me pick any free app of my choosing - all that seems to be required here is that the phone 'makes contact' again with the store. So pick any app, free or paid, and download from your handset. That will do the trick. Good luck!

I already did the update two weeks ago. But now my phone is constantly pushing the ota update to my device, is there any way to stop it?
