Sprint store refused to sell EVO for retail price!!!

So after waiting in line since 5am i was the third person in line.The store opened at 7:30 instead of 8 due to the line but once we were inside and with attempting to purchase the phone for retail price they refused to sell the phone.They stated anybody attempting to buy the phone for full reatil price had to order by the web or telesales.The manager was there at 6am and could have made that statement to all of us who were waiting in line for hours.I swear its always something with sprint it never fails!!!!

Yeah, they should've told you ahead of time. I seem to remember them doing this last year with the Pre also.

Must be a local thing. I was in line @ 7am, store opened at 8.
By 8:18 I was in the car drooling all over my new phone. I paid full retail with no issues. I'd be on the horn to the district manager

I'm not sure they're allowed to do this. Any reputable Sprint store would have sold you the phone regardless. They just want to boost new customer sales, but in reality its complete BS. You're a customer and you absolutely have the right to get the phone. I'd be furious.

Call Account Services (retentions). I'd complain.... they will probably give you a service credit of some kind or an increased discount on accessories. At least that is what they always do whenever I have a complaint...
