Sprint Store said update is coming soon..

you wont get the best 4g speeds every where. I get anywhere from 5-10 depending on the location and time of the day, but always close to 5. What can you do with 10 that you cant do with 5?

I only have 1-2 bars signal strength at the house :( With my Blackberry I never had less than 4 bars. This is quite irritating! Any advice for boosting signal strength?
Call them and request an Airave device. They sent me one for free and waived the monthly fee. I went from 0-2 bars to 4-5 bars. There is a post describing all of this in the "Sprint" forums. Go check it out!

if you are having issues with 3g speeds update the PRL and Profile. I was pulling 78kbps down they ran these updates and handed me back my phone ran the same test less them 8 mins later and I was getting 505kbps.

Did they really send you an Airave for free with no monthly cost? I'm really interested in trying this out. Service inside my house jumps all the time no matter the hardware.

The fix i need is the dam camera app. I can't use it without it freezing at least once. I'm noticing that my internet is a bit freezy too so i may be dl'ing dolphin browser or firefox

don't have the performance issues, but the stock browser wouldn't load FB full site version, so I grabbed Dolphin right away

How do you do this? Does it have to be done at the store?

1) When on the home screen select the menu button. 2) Settings 3)Scroll all the way down and select System updates 4)Select the first one you want to update. Repeat until you have checked/updated each one.

<-- Has the one good one in KY i think.

I love this thing. Awesome battery life (12+ hours and not dropping 20% with calls, a few games, and at least 5 mins of youtube / surfing every hour or so).

I havent got granular enough to hit up a speedtest but on public 3g it seems respectably fast and on my air rave at home (yah, i got a free one too...more below) it does awesome. I guess the fact that i havent been inclined to do a speedtest says that its performing on par or better than my evo 4g. I think better but I also think thats more on account of the faster hardware under the hood.

HOWTO - AirRave: No service in your home/office is supposed to be ground for early termination without having to pay to break the contact. If you call retentions (call directly to them, i dont have the number but im sure our forums or a quick google search has either line handy) tell them you dont have service and you're going to be forced to terminate your contact. They'll quickly set you up with one ($120 value) and waive the activation fee ($20) and monthly fee ($5 or $10 bucks i think). I requested mine when i moved into my new house out in the country. I genuinely didnt have service, but i knew I could get an airrave so i called in for one. It took maybe long enough to smoke a cig once i got on the line. It came in 2 or 3 business days and works well. Only thing to remember is it is not your property so if you cancel with sprint you must send it back. If i can help anyone with this feel free to PM me. I'm sure if you just wanted one you could lie and say you dont have service but thats on your concious...i genuinely didnt and thats why they offer this service. Hope it helps!
