Sprint Wi-Fi calling?

Is there a way to enable WiFi?

Once you get the update from Sprint it adds an icon in the app drawer and a button in the settings too, both go to the same settings page ultimately to check WiFi calling and locate the address your at for 911 purposes.

just received my 1st call with wifi calling on, beyond horrible. I could here caller with no trouble but caller could not hear me at all, this is worse then using the cell tower, ugh.

Wondering if it was the speed of your network? I haven't had a call on WiFi yet, but I know my home network has a ton of devices connected, so I'm wondering if that has an effect? Guess it's good I mostly text.

Yes that is my concern at the moment.

I've been using WiFi calling and texting since the update (yesterday morning)... outstanding. Calls are clear, crisp with a reliable signal. Texts are being transmitted instantaneously.

I don't have great coverage is my home, so I've been paying for Sprint's AIRAVE for a couple of years. I feel I can drop that device now.

Hey...off topic, but that German Shepard is gorgeous! I have a White German Shepard.

Thanks! He's my best bud. Going to be 6 years old in August.
My girl (his cousin) looks just like him but her grandmother was completely white.
The breeder sells lots of white huge ones as well.

I can't say for Sprint but for T-Mobile it uses 10 KB / sec download and 10 KB / sec upload at the same time for a call... Doubt Sprint is that much different.

We have an Airave in the house for my buddy (it's a Sprint device that acts as a cell tower) and trust me.. It uses like no bandwidth.

Anyone else having issues with WiFi calling the past few days? I noticed last night when I got home around 9 from work that it says network connection error. I've tried rebooting my modem and router, even tried rebooting my phone and shutting it down competely. Same result. I know it's not my phone because my wife and mother-in-law both have an S5 on my account and theirs both say the same thing. It worked earlier in the week so I'm not thinking it is my WiFi. I'm thinking it's down on Sprint's end.

Mine was not working most of today displaying the message "network error, try again". It seems to have resolved itself and is working again.

Same here, both my S5 and my wife's S4mini are having that issue. Kinda sucks as the feature is useful, my cell signal is weak at home. Hopefully they resolve the issue soon.

I clicked the notification at about 4:10 PM when I got back from the pool, it just connected again!

Cleared the cache (no clue if this helped) of the service and turned it off and on in settings, it reconnected. I had lost even the notification of it being disconnected, up top and in the pulldown menu, just toggling it off/on didn't work. We'll see how long it stays this way. I'll do the same to my wife s4mini when she gets home later.

I cleared the cache last night, so I don't think that was it. The notification disappeared from mine for a while too, I had to reboot to get it to show at one point.

Well at least it's working for the moment eh? ;) maybe this is why they haven't released it for more phones just yet, I guess I don't mind being a guinea pig if it will work most of the time, it really is a helpful feature for me.

I guess I don't need it, or don't need it much anyway. I have an airave at home and always have signal where I go.

They should give us the ability to talk and surf at the same time instead.
I was able to do that on my Photon and my GS4, but not on my GS5. Ugh! 😡😠
