Sprint will get the Galaxy Nexus in Dec.

I thought sprint said, "No LTE devices til Q2 2012." Hopefully there's some loophole in the wording that would allow us to get it sooner. I really miss an LED notification light.

I would never own a 3G only device again and since support for wimax is ending in 2015, that rules out a wimax device also. Looks like i'm holding out for the late 2012 Sprint Nexus
Really? 2015 is THREE years, the Galaxy Nexus if released soon would be EOL by then. If a Galaxy Nexus comes out, it will be either WiMax or just straight up EVDO only. Sprint and Samsung will absolutely not a release a untested radio. Too many nightmare scenarios. If Sprint releases a LTE Galaxy Nexus, it wont be until after the middle of next year and that's just way too late.

I can live with a WiMax Galaxy Nexus. 4G radios in general are absolutely awful on the battery so WiMax is good enough to turn on when I got to download something big away from WiFi. I personally think either Samsung is building and testing a WiMax version now, and hence the delay, or there is never going to be a Galaxy Nexus on Sprint.

Kind of off topic, but my friend just got a SGSII (or whatever srint calls it Touch Evo Galaxy 4G wimax S 2) and I was playing with it, testing out the "4G" speeds and whatnot, and the damn thing didn't even light up and was the same speed as my 3G DroidX lol What does wimax do?

Don't know where you were (Was 4G even connect? How many bars) but I get 6-10 Mbps on WiMax here in NYC. EVDO on Sprint and Verizon gets ~2.5 Mbps at it's very best.

yeah they can keep it the same as the Verizon version. just temporarily disable the LTE chip. then when Sprint is ready - activate the chip via software. done. they can even market it as "Sprint's first LTE phone!" and start the LTE deployment in the top 5-10 major market cities and go from there.

I know right? That's what I've been saying the last couple of months! :)

Would be nice to have the option of the Galaxy Nexus. Sprint got the previous Nexus devices so it would make sense for them to get it also. Besides Verizon has the Droid line that is exclusive to them. Don't be making claims on other android lines. Share the love. :)

LOL they'll slap LGE on the phone, sell it to you and you just won't be in a LGE "tested or supported" region....you'll just get that refer to website for further details....hmmmm kinda like the 4g device i have...but no 4g market ;) oh ya....and to the kid that posted no notification....that sucks...i do
