I currently have the HTC Evo V 4G and was thinking about switching to T Mobiles HTC Sensation 4G on the $30 100 min unlimited text and data plan. How does Sprints WiMax compare to T Mobiles 4G? Has anyone tried both?

I haven't tried T-Mobile's 4g but I do know that it isn't even 4g just enhanced 3g. With virgins I get 5-7 mbps down and then 2-4 mbps up. Pretty good, there isn't really anything you would need higher speed than that for on a mobile phone. Plus virgins 4g is unlimited and T-Mobile has a cap.

Ok those speeds arent that bad. I get around 1-2 megs down and about 10 - 500 kbps up when i get a stable 4g connection. I was thinking about trying t mobile for the better speeds since i rarely ever make calls. Do you know how voip minutes would translate into data? Do they use up a lot of data? T mobiles cap is 5gb of 4g and I use a lot of data.

The problem you have with Virgin Mobiles 4G is the same with most every other 4G I have looked into that's out there. Not a lot of extensive Coverage areas. For example I live in Maryland, and while MD has quite an extensive 3G coverage area it's 4G coverage is in fact lacking. Right now only the Baltimore Metropolitan area, extending down the I95 corridor into Washington DC And the City of BelAir have 4G coverage. BTW the coverage is the same for nearly every service out their EXCEPT for T-Mobile. Thier 4G covers almost the entire state. So if you live in MD and don't live in any of the areas with coverage from any other service go to T-Mobile that's my opinion.

But T-Mobile's 4G is just 3G on steriods so it's going to be bigger than the others.
